USL Championship Winners

Real Monarchs beat Louisville City 3-1 to finish the USL Championship season as champions in front of a sell out crowd of 7,025 at Lynn Stadium in Louisville.

Monarch’s captain Jack Blake and Real Salt Lake player Justin Portillo played a huge part in the Monarch’s success throughout the season. Their victory over the two-time defending champions Louisville City has resulted in Jack Blake lifting the trophy to earn Real Monarchs their first USL Championship Title. Records were broken with the Monarchs becoming the first visiting side to win a USL Championship title since 2011 and also it became only the second time in USL history that an MLS Affiliate has taken home the trophy.
