Matt Bersano signs a new contract with San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes have announced that goalkeeper Matt Bersano has signed a new contract with the club ahead of the 2021 MLS Season. This will be Matt’s fifth season with the club making over 60 appearances for their former USL Championship affiliate Reno 1868 FC where he was named the team’s Goalkeeper of the Year in 2017 and 2018.

Prior to the Earthquakes, Bersano made two appearances for USL side Seattle Sounders FC 2 in 2016. A former youth player at Real Salt Lake AZ, Bersano competed collegiately at Oregon State (2011-14) and Penn State (2015).
