Joel Torrance signs for Salford City

Young goalkeeper Joel Torrance has signed a one-year deal to join The Ammies’ development side!

The 19-year-old joins us from Altrincham where he has spent the last few years since joining them from playing local leagues. Standing at over 6’3, he has featured regularly for Alty’s youth team but has had first team exposure having been on the bench for most of the 2020-21 campaign as Phil Parkinson’s side finished 17th in the National League. 

Now he is hoping to get more minutes under his belt and continue his own development: “It’s a great opportunity for me, and I can’t wait for all the experiences I’m going to get from it and try to prove as much as I can while I’m here. “My main one is I want to get as many minutes as I can for the Development team and improve as much as I can, and hopefully next season I can try and push on towards the first team.”
