Jamille Matt signs for Forest Green Rovers
Jamille looks to begin a new quest for success after recently signing for Forest Green on a one-year deal for an Undisclosed fee. The 30-year-old, Jamaican born 6ft 4ins striker has plenty of experience under his belt having signed from Newport County where he played a fundamental role in the team clocking up 5,817 minutes played since joining in 2018. He is not partial to scoring a goal or two after recording 20 goals in his first season with County, including the famous header over Wes Morgan to knock Leicester out of the FA cup.
Forest Green and Jamille seemed to be the perfect match upon arrival at New Lawn after Jamille set his targets down early and claimed “I have a lot of experience and I want to use this to help the team and match their ambition and desire to be successful”. Which was reemphasised by Head Coach Mark Cooper who stressed “Matt knows how to be successful at this level, not old in terms of years, but in games he is vastly experienced”
Good Luck with Forest Green Jamille.
