Busy transfer window for Beswicks Sports

It’s been a busy few days at Beswicks Sports with a move completed for the impressive Cameron Harper from Celtic to New York Red Bulls who will be joining  attacking full back Tom Edwards who has moved on loan from Stoke City until the end of the 2021 season.

The European transfer window has proved to be a frenetic one so far for the team with 50 deals struck in the UK and US spanning the Premiership, Championship and MLS and still more to come with the MLS deadline coming to a close on the June 1st.

Some of the other highlights include:

  • The permanent transfer of midfielder Alfie Doughty from Charlton Athletic to Stoke City.
  • And a transfer deal for goalkeeper Jonathan Bond from West Bromwich Albion to LA Galaxy.

A number of players signed new contracts including Rhys Bennett at Carlisle United, Andrew Fisher at MK Dons and Adrian Mariappa at Brisol City.

It’s been a busy period in North America with 16 players moved to date and the MLS window not due to open until 10 March. Congratulations to a number of our players who have been selected for the MLS SuperDraft.

Beswicks Sports Director Gary Mellor said: “We’re delighted to have been able to secure so many fantastic deals for our players from permanent transfers and new signings to loan deals and MLS SuperDraft success.

“It’s always enormously satisfying to be able to use our in-depth sporting knowledge and global networks to secure fantastic deals for our clients, maximising opportunities for their career success. Congratulations to them all. We wish them all the best with their new clubs.”
