Alfie Doughty takes home ‘Young Player of the Year’ for Charlton Athletic
The young 20-year-old, Alfie Doughty, burst onto the scene this season putting his name forward for the first team midfield spot collecting 29 appearances in the championship and scoring 2 goals, 3 Assists after spending the first part of the season out on loan. The London born midfielder clearly left his mark this season a he was voted ‘The Young Player of The Year’.
Alfie was shocked by the recognition he had received and went onto say “I wasn’t expecting to get it to be honest. There is a load of us that deserved it. Albie Morgan, George Lapslie and Josh Davison have all played well and deserved it too.”
