Alfie Doughty scores Charlton Athletic’s First Goal of the Season

Charlton Athletic fans were over the moon with the performance of Alfie Doughty yesterday after he scored his first goal on the opening day of the League One season vs Crewe Alexandra.

Doughty played on the right of a front 3 for Charlton yesterday showed his qualities once again as he gave his side the lead. Darting onto a fine through ball, he ran in behind the Crewe defence before slotting home expertly with his left foot.

Charlton went on to win the game 2-0 as they sit in 3rd place after the opening weekend in their push to return to the Championship.
