Beswicks Sports lawyer explains impact of Brexit on football
Beswicks Sports’ top lawyer Tim Bailey is gearing up to deliver a seminar outlining how Brexit will affect UK football clubs, including everything clubs and lawyers need to know about immigration and work visas.
Tim is teaming up with MBL Seminars to stream the session, which is entitled; Will Brexit be an own goal or home win for UK football?
Tim explained: “From 1 January 2021 major changes have taken place that will affect the player trading market. It is essential that UK football clubs and sports lawyers fully understand how being outside the EU affects them and how the new UK immigration and work visa regime works.
“The last thing clubs will want is to get tangled up in bureaucracy, so it’s crucial that those involved in sports administration get to grips with these changes.”
The webinar will cover:
- A reminder of the global and domestic regulation of football
- How being outside the EU will affect regulation of domestic clubs
- New UK immigration and work visas for players
- How the player trading market will be affected
The webinar will be streamed at 12.30pm on Monday 25 January 2021 and will remain available to view by delegates who have registered for 90 days. To book onto the hour-long session visit the MBL Seminars website.
